SOS Credit is a short-term “until payday” lending service in Ukraine, disbursing small amounts to a card with no collateral or guarantors. The product is designed for urgent needs: unexpected expenses, bill payments, or covering a temporary cash shortfall for a few weeks. The service's name reflects its positioning — quick help in a financial emergency, when money is needed immediately and a bank's regular loan process takes too long.
SOS Credit's real annual rate ranges from 3.99% to 1,639.15% depending on the amount and term, with a daily rate of 0.01% to 1% per day. The maximum loan amount is 20,000 UAH, and this limit applies to both first and subsequent loans.
The site gives an example: a 3,000 UAH loan for 15 days costs 3,004.50 UAH to repay, corresponding to a 3.99% annual rate — the minimum tariff under the shortest, most favorable scenario. The longer the term and the higher the applied daily rate, the more the real annual rate climbs, up to a maximum of 1,639.15%.
The loan term is 10 to 65 calendar days. Extension (prolongation) by 15 or 30 calendar days is available, activated in the personal account via a bank card, usable up until the last day of the second period. There are no early-repayment penalties: funds can be returned early via the personal account, terminals, or post office/bank branches.
Borrower requirements: age 18 to 90, Ukrainian citizenship, a valid passport or ID card, a taxpayer registration number, and an active bank card from any Ukrainian bank. The site doesn't declare an explicit credit-history check — the decision is made by the service's own scoring system based on data submitted at registration.
The process has several steps: choose the amount and term on the site's calculator, create a personal account (phone, email, password), fill out the form, link and confirm a bank card, complete BankID verification, wait for an automatic scoring decision, sign the agreement with an electronic signature, and receive funds on the card. Every step is done online, with no office visit or mailed paper documents.
Here are SOS Credit's main strengths and weaknesses compared to other offers in Ukraine's microlending segment.
SOS Credit stands out with a wide borrower age range (18–90) and the ability to extend the loan with no early-repayment penalties. The key factor when choosing is the real annual rate, which can range from an almost symbolic 3.99% for a quick small repayment to 1,639.15% under less favorable terms — so it's worth carefully calculating the repayment amount on the site's calculator before applying.
